Summary:

The Gurnee Police Department is seeking applicants for School Crossing Guard for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.

Rate of pay is $17 / hour.  No prior experience is necessary; paid training; equipment is provided. 

Work is performed outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions, including exposure to traffic, rain, wind, snow / ice, hot and cold temperatures.  Vehicular traffic hazards also present in work environment.

General work schedule and locations:
District 56 - River Trail School, Grand / OPlaine 6:40 a.m. - 7:40 a.m. and 2:15 to 3:15 p.m.

Schedule adjusted for early release days.

Screening process includes oral interview, background check and drug screen.
