There are many projects underway in the Village of Gurnee in an effort to provide the community with infrastructure improvements. Many of these projects are being carried out as part of the Village’s Multi-Year Capital Program, but also by the Lake County Department of Transportation and the Illinois Department of Transportation. Construction Update: Old Grand Watermain Construction - Traffic Closure at Depot Road Starting Nov 15th

Starting on Monday, November 15th, the Village's contractor Joel Kennedy Construction will be installing watermain on Old Grand Avenue from Depot Road to First Street, as well as up a section of Depot Road. During the construction, Depot Road and Old Grand Avenue east of the railroad bridge will be closed to thru traffic. Residents accessing properties off Depot Road are encouraged to use US-41, and residents accessing Viking Park & Viking Middle School are encouraged to access the properties from the west via O'Plaine Road or Grand Avenue.
